The inaugural event for the Lufkin Launchers will happen November 10 at Lufkin First Assembly (on the loop). This temporary nine hole course mixes long and short distances with tight OB shots to make a challenging course for all players.
The tournament will be set up as a modified double elimination bracket. Finish in the top two in your group and you move on. Finish in the bottom two and you will find yourself fighting your way back up to the top. Bag tags will be awarded in the order of the tournament finish.
Your $20 membership fee will get you a club bag tag, invitation to club only events held throughout the year, and automatically enter you into the first of Ace Pool. The Ace Pool at this tournament will be set at $50 (for the first confirmed ace). At each additional event, you will have the option of paying $2 to join the Ace Pool. The money that is added will grow the pool for those events.
The goal of the Lufkin Launchers is to expand the disc golf course options in Angelina county. All additional money from your club registration ent will be the first step toward making that goal a reality.
