We are thrilled to announce that today the Lufkin Park Board voted to partner with the Lufkin Launchers in order to bring several new disc golf courses to Lufkin.  Some of the possible locations are Kitt McConnico Park, Grace Dunn Park, and Morris Frank Park. 

 In addition to that, the Launchers will be helping the Lufkin Parks and Rec redesign Kiwanis Park DGC into a pitch and putt/junior course.  This will make the course safe for park patrons and more enjoyable for Disc Golfers.  

We are excited to be partnering with these great people and look forward to what we can accomplish for the sport of disc golf in Angelina county during the next three years. 

This Tuesday the Launchers will be meeting at Pioneer Park (Nacogdoches) @ 5:30pm for the second of two April League Days.  Players will be grouped according to competitive ability and Bag Tags will be up for grabs!!  

Entry fee will be $5 with an optional Ace Pool buy in of $2.  As always, we will have cash prizes for top finishers.  Hit an ace this week,  and you will walk away with over $160!  (if you are entered in the Ace Pool) There will also be used plastic for sale or trade if you are looking for something new to throw.  See you this Tuesday!

This Saturday the Launchers will be meeting at Pecan Park (Nacogdoches) @ 2:00pm for the first of two April League Days.  Players will be grouped according to competitive ability and Bag Tags will be up for grabs!!  

Entry fee will be $5 with an optional Ace Pool buy in of $2.  As always, we will have cash prizes for top finishers.  Hit an ace this week,  and you will walk away with over $150!  (if you are entered in the Ace Pool) There will also be used plastic for sale or trade if you are looking for something new to throw.  See you this Saturday!

There will be two league days in April.  The first will be Saturday April 6, 2pm @ Pecan Park (Nacogdoches).  The next will be Tuesday April 16, 5:45pm @ Pioneer Park (Nacogdoches).  

The entry fee will be $5 with an optional ace pool buy in of $2.  During the round you may qualify for  a CTP contest (Closest To the Pin).  As always, the trade box will be available for those looking for a new disc to throw as well as great prices on used discs.  Bag Tags will roll...so don't miss these events!!

Lufkin First Assembly will be the site of the second league day on Tuesday, March 12 at 5:00pm.  This challenging course has been expanded to 11 holes so the groups will be playing 22 holes.  All players are welcome to join.  Cost for the League Day is $5. Payouts for top players as well as a CTP prize.  The ace pool is at $116 and a few holes are begging someone to ring the chains.  The weather looks like it will be beautiful so make plans to come on out!!

On March 3, we will be springing forward with daylight savings time.  The bad news is that you will lose an hour of sleep on that night.  The good news is that the extra hour of daylight in the evenings will allow the Launchers to have an extra League Day each month.  Generally speaking, the days will take place on the second Saturday and third Tuesday of the month.  Dates, times and locations will be forthcoming but I wanted to share the exciting news ASAP!!

We will be having our February league day on February 9 @ Pecan Park.  We will be starting at 2pm in an effort to coordinate schedules with the Nacogdoches Crushers who play on the same day. On this day, everyone will put their bag tags on the line in a one round show down.  Entry fee will be $5.  The ace pool will be available (and raised) as well as a closest to the pin prize.  As always, the trade box will be available plus some inexpensive discs for sale.  

Ok everybody...we will be having our first league day on January 12 @ Pioneer Park.  On this day, everyone will come and put their bag tags on the line in a one round show down.  Entry fee will be $5.  The ace pool will be available (and raised) as well as a closest to the pin prize and a putting prize.  As always, the trade box will be available plus some inexpensive discs for sale.  Beginner...or pro...don't miss this day!
